Job Brief:We're looking for a sharp, driven
Product Owner who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll own the product roadmap end-to-end, bridging business strategy with technical execution. If you love wearing multiple hats, turning ambiguity into clarity, and shipping products that make a real dent — this role is for you. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, design, and stakeholders, translating complex business needs into well-defined, actionable deliverables — while keeping the team moving fast without losing sight of quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and continuously refine the product backlog — prioritizing ruthlessly based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and design — ensuring everyone is aligned on the 'why' before the 'what'.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to uncover real needs behind surface-level requests.
- Generate crisp, unambiguous user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs that engineers can actually build from using AI.
- Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews — keeping the team focused and unblocked.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and edge cases early — and resolve them before they become blockers.
- Define and track key product metrics; use data to validate decisions and iterate quickly.
- Manage stakeholder expectations with transparency — communicate timelines, trade-offs, and progress without sugarcoating.
- Collaborate on go-to-market strategies, release plans, and post-launch reviews.
Required Qualification & Technical Skills:- 3–6 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an IT/software environment.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks — you've lived the ceremonies, not just read about them.
- Strong analytical mindset — you can break down complex problems, spot patterns in data, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain a technical trade-off to a CEO and a business requirement to a developer with equal clarity.
- Experience with product/project management tools: Jira, Confluence, Notion, Figma, or similar.
- Comfortable with ambiguity — you don't wait for perfect information to move forward.
- Exposure to software development cycles; you don't need to code, but you need to understand how things get built.
- Prior experience in a startup or early-stage product team is a strong plus.
Nice to Have:- CSPO, PSPO, PMP, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with SaaS products, marketplaces, or B2B platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL or basic data querying for self-serve analytics.
- Background in UX research or user testing methodologies.
