Job BriefWe are seeking a
Senior Product Designer with 5–6 years of hands-on experience crafting end-to-end digital products and services. The ideal candidate excels at shaping both product and service experiences, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and maintaining exceptional client communication. You will define product vision, map out service journeys, translate user and business needs into intuitive interfaces, and deliver polished design solutions—leveraging AI where appropriate—to drive customer satisfaction and business impact.
VentureDive OverviewFounded in 2012 by veteran technology entrepreneurs from MIT and Stanford, VentureDive is the fastest-growing technology company in the region that develops and invests in products and solutions that simplify and improve the lives of people worldwide. We aspire to create a technology organization and an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region that is recognized as second to none in the world.
Key Responsibilities:This position will primarily focus on:
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define product goals, success metrics, and roadmap priorities.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform design direction and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Translate user and business insights into a clear product vision and design strategy.
- Lead both quantitative and qualitative research efforts—interviews, surveys, usability tests—to uncover user needs and pain points.
- Leverage AI to synthesize research findings into personas, journey maps, and actionable insights that guide design decisions.
- Iterate rapidly based on user feedback, running A/B tests or prototypes to validate assumptions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and low- to high-fidelity prototypes (in Figma) that clearly communicate interaction models.
- Design pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces that balance functionality, aesthetics, and technical feasibility.
- Refine micro-interactions and visual details to achieve a high level of polish and delight.
- Build and maintain scalable design systems—components, patterns, tokens, Figma variables (colors, typography, spacing)—to ensure consistency across multiple products.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate design system components into production code, streamlining design-to-development handoffs.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews, sprint planning, and stakeholder workshops. Create meeting agendas, action items, and follow-ups to ensure alignment.
- Mentor junior designers: provide constructive feedback, guide best practices, and foster professional growth.
- Facilitate external workshops with smooth collaboration between product management, engineering, QA, and other teams to resolve dependencies and unblock progress.
- Translate complex design decisions into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with non-design audiences.
- Proactively manage client expectations, address concerns, and adapt deliverables based on evolving requirements.
- Take ownership of product design outcomes—ensure that final deliverables meet user needs, align with brand guidelines, and contribute to key business metrics.
- Use data and analytics to measure the impact of design changes, optimizing flows to improve conversion, engagement, or other KPIs.
- Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Figma AI) to generate research summaries, draft interview scripts, and identify trends within user feedback.
Required Skills & Expertise:- 5–6 years designing digital products or services, ideally working on consumer-facing applications that reach large user bases.
- Demonstrated ability to define product features from discovery through launch, with a strong understanding of product lifecycle and business impact.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite or executive stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing client workshops, design walkthroughs, and feedback loops.
- Ability to distill complex design trade-offs into concise, persuasive recommendations.
- Proficiency in planning and conducting user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments.
- Strong skills in information architecture, interaction design, and prototyping.
- Ability to synthesize research data into actionable insights and communicate findings clearly.
- Hands-on experience creating or maintaining a design system in Figma (components, variables, tokens).
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and design-to-development workflows.
- Ability to work closely with engineers, QA, and product managers to ensure smooth implementation of designs.
- Strong organizational skills: prioritize tasks, estimate effort, and deliver on time without heavy supervision.
Qualification & Experience:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–6 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role.
- Portfolio showcasing shipped products, with clear case studies that highlight your process, from research to final designs—and demonstrate measurable business impact.
- Previous experience working directly with clients or stakeholders, driving design decisions based on user and business needs.
