Job Overview: We're looking for a Business Analyst to be the translation layer between the PE sponsor and practice leadership, clinical and operational staff, and our data engineering and BI build team. You'll own requirements, define metrics, and validate data for dashboards that span portfolio-level financial reporting down to clinic-level operational detail.
Map and normalize data across multiple EMR/PM systems, billing/RCM platforms, and scheduling tools inherited from acquired locations
Define and document a shared metrics glossary (e.g., “active patient,” “same-store,” “revenue per provider”) and secure sign-off from relevant business stakeholders, such as finance or clinical ops
Gather and prioritize requirements across stakeholder tiers — PE sponsor/board, practice leadership, clinic managers,physicians
Write functional specs for the BI development team: KPIs, drill-down levels (portfolio → region → clinic → provider), refresh cadence, and access permissions
Validate dashboard output against source systems before it reaches leadership or the board
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Healthcare/dermatology domain literacy — understanding of medical vs. cosmetic revenue streams, payer mix, and clinical workflow
Fluency in PE reporting metrics (EBITDA, SSS, provider productivity benchmarks) and ability to translate board-level asks into buildable specs
Working knowledge of data modeling concepts (star schema, grain) to collaborate effectively with data
engineers/architects
SQL proficiency (reading/validating level, minimum) to independently sanity-check figures
Stakeholder management across groups with competing incentives (growth/exit metrics vs. day-to-day operations)
HIPAA/compliance awareness, particularly around patient-level data exposure in operational dashboards
Nice to Have:
Prior experience with multi-site healthcare roll-ups or M&A-driven data consolidation
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) from a requirements/QA perspective
