Job Brief
We are looking for LiDAR Data Specialist with the ability to drive the successful identification and characterization of natural features within complex LiDAR datasets. This isn't just a consulting role; we need someone who can actively process data, develop solutions, and deliver tangible results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze large LiDAR point clouds to identify and delineate specific natural features.
• Develop and implement algorithms and workflows for automated feature extraction and classification.
• Utilize and optimize various software and tools for LiDAR data handling, including classification, normalization, and feature extraction.
• Ensure data quality and implement strategies for error detection and mitigation.

Qualification & Experience:

• Proven experience in LiDAR data analysis, particularly focused on identifying and characterizing natural elements.
• Strong expertise in point cloud processing techniques (e.g., ground classification, noise reduction, feature extraction).
• Proficiency with relevant LiDAR software and libraries (e.g., LAStools, CloudCompare, ArcGIS Pro/QGIS, Python with Open3D/PDAL).
• Ability to develop and implement solutions, not just advise on them.
• Experience with machine learning or deep learning for object detection/segmentation in point clouds is a strong plus.
