Job Brief:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps professional with a strong background in Google Cloud technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud architecture and extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure. The role will involve collaborating closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes. The candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Kubernetes and Containerization:

• Lead the deployment, management, and optimization of Kubernetes clusters specifically on GCP.
• Containerize applications and microservices for scalable and efficient deployment using GKE.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Utilize Terraform and Ansible to design, implement, and manage infrastructure on GCP.
• Maintain IaC templates and ensure version control and code quality.

2. Scripting and Automation:

• Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, or others) to automate routine tasks and streamline operations.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery. (Google Cloud Build is preferred)
• Cloud Architecture:
• Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient systems on GCP.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.

3. Monitoring and Reliability:

• Set up robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
• Implement SRE practices to prevent, detect, and mitigate incidents.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide DevOps expertise.
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Possess over 4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specializing in its core services and infrastructure management.
• Highly reliable in terms of availability. Must be available during late hours PKT time, providing overlap with the Philippines . Available till later EST afternoon.
• Hands on with on Cyber security with any relevant certification would be a plus
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Kubernetes, containerization, and IaC
• Strong leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• High proficiency in debugging, building architectures and troubleshooting
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
