VentureDive seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team and power our sales enablement AI platform for insurance and sales enablement customers. Collaborate to build and deploy advanced machine-learning models for diverse sales teams, from independent agencies to multinational insurance entities. The ideal candidate has a strong computer science background and proven experience in building and refining machine learning models. They understand various model types, use cases, and limitations. Additionally, they can think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges and act as a subject-matter expert within the product team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine machine learning models, integrating LLM-based solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
• Design and optimize GenAI-powered workflows for personalized email communication and insight generation.
• Support the full ML lifecycle, including ML Ops, using open source tools.
• Build scalable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources (e.g., using Airflow and dbt).
• Collaborate with product and business development teams to align machine learning strategies with customer needs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for ML and LLM/GenAI technologies.
• Stay updated on ML/AI, LLMs, and related technologies to drive platform innovation.
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment and maintain production scalability.
• Document architectural decisions and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.
• Proven experience with LLMs and Generative AI, including fine-tuning and deploying models (e.g., GPT, BERT, Llama).
• 8+ years of experience transforming data in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.) and building data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of traditional ML concepts (e.g., GMMs, SVMs, trees, boosting) and deep learning fundamentals.
• Python proficiency with experience in scientific libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas).
• Experience deploying models on AWS infrastructure and optimizing ML workflows for production.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including query optimization and database structure understanding.
• Knowledge of data modeling principles and designing schemas for complex, multi-source data.
• Experience in feature engineering and maximizing model performance.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience integrating LLM-powered tools into enterprise systems or web applications.
• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, Next.js, and NestJS.
• Experience designing flexible data ingestion and enrichment pipelines for diverse data sources.
• Exposure to software configuration tools (e.g., Git/GitHub, Notion, Clickup, GitHub Actions).
• Demonstrated experience presenting technical research or findings at industry conferences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Located in Mexico, Canada, or Europe with availability for East Coast time zone overlap.

Education

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
